Overview

Dr. Leon Maratchi is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist. He received his undergraduate degree with honors in 1998 from the Johns Hopkins University, and received his Doctorate in Medicine in 2002 from the University of Miami School of Medicine graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors and Research Distrinction. Dr Maratchi subsequently completed intership and residency training in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He is fellowship trained in Gastroenterology at the Montefiore Medical Center affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

Dr. Maratchi’s research interests include inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer. Leon Maratchi, MD is a lecturer at Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine. He has published multiple research studies in the field of gastroenterology and has authored a textbook chapter on diseases of the large intestine in the elderly.

He is a native of South Florida where he resides with his wife and three children. Dr Maratchi is fluent in Spanish.
